Overview
Oranžová Obálka is a comprehensive personal finance platform built for the Slovak market. The project was initiated in partnership with Ezmid s.r.o. It brings together retirement planning, investment tracking, loan management, and budgeting tools into a single, intuitive interface. The platform serves both individual users and corporate clients through employer benefit programs.
The Challenge
Managing personal finances in Slovakia means dealing with a complex pension system spanning four pillars, multiple investment providers, and fragmented tools. Users had no unified way to model retirement scenarios, compare fund performance, or see their complete financial picture at a glance.
What We Built
We developed the entire frontend of the web application, while the backend was handled by the client's own team. We closely cooperated on data structures to ensure seamless integration. The platform includes interactive retirement projections across all Slovak pension pillars (I, II, III, IV and PEPP), real-time portfolio tracking, fund comparison with ratings and benchmarks, loan calculators, budget planning tools, and property valuation projections. We extended existing charting libraries with custom components and financial algorithms tailored to specific client requirements. A premium tier adds family account sharing and advanced backtesting of investment strategies.
Technical Approach
The frontend leverages established charting libraries extended with custom plugins and econometric algorithms to generate accurate financial projections directly in the browser. We developed interactive charts and scenario tools that let users adjust variables and instantly see how changes affect their long-term financial outcomes. We closely collaborated with the client's backend team on defining the data structures that bridge the backend services and our frontend layer. The architecture supports both a freemium consumer product and a B2B channel for employer benefits.
Results
The platform launched as a production-ready fintech product serving the Slovak market. It gives users a clear, data-driven view of their financial future and has expanded to include corporate financial literacy services for employers.
